Ceremony is Not the Doing, it is the Being
Where does this path begin?
What is truly needed to hold ceremony?
The answer to all of these is relationships.
There’s a lot of people waking up. And what I’ve seen is that many spiritual spaces do not teach you how to respect and protect yourself, or to respect and protect the medicines that we are working with. Ceremonial cacao is reaching so many people in the world, and it is a powerful and needed medicine, but we cannot learn the lessons and receive the healing of that medicine if we are facilitating circles with it in the same energy of disconnection, of escapistconsumption that is commonly practiced in mainstream culture. How can we hold space for others when we actually don’t even know how to hold space for ourselves, to be united within ourselves, and to thus carry the medicina in a cleaner cup?
I’m going to offer you one piece of guidance below to support holding ceremony in a different way, but first, let me introduce myself…

My lineage is Mexican Zapoteca and Olmeca, Safardic Jewish via Spain, French, and Afro-Cuban. My metaphysical and spiritual training includes work in the Lakota, Mayan, Aztec, Hopi, Apache, and Curanderismo traditions. I have been trained since birth.
I am not a weekend warrior shaman. I don’t go to “shaman church” on Sunday, and then disconnect from these practices every other day of the week. And the the way I integrate my spirituality into every day and action in my life, is the same intention I bring to supporting those I work with in ceremony, teaching, training, and healing. I have been on the medicine path for my whole life, and I expect to be on it until I die! Does that mean I’m serious all the time, or don’t have human foibles? No! I’m hilarious! But the difference to me is that I value respect for this path and any medicines or allies we work with, for all of our elders, and I am constantly doing the work of self-integration in order to honor myself and others in this way.
When you take classes from BIPOC individuals you are helping pay reparations and heal the wound of appropriation and colonization.
MISUSE OF CACAO...
I’m not going to dance around it, I see a lot of misuse of cacao in “ceremonial” settings, and I’ve heard a number of elders talk about it too, people who have worked with cacao for generations. I am here to support you in understanding how to have respect, and cacao told me she wants to help you to have respect, both for her medicina, and also FOR YOURSELF.
I don’t actually see anyone else teaching the way I teach, because what is needed is a way to understand how to work with this medicine in new settings, where the environment is not holding you and doing the work for you. Take the cacao out of her home and the work that YOU must do as the practitioner changes. Put the cacao into the hands of people who don’t have relationships with their environments and the work that YOU must do as the practitioner changes. This is why this ceremonial training was birthed. That, and cacao told me to do it, and when she speaks, I listen.
The Path of IX Presents: Ceremonial Ixcacao Training
The first step in being a practitioner who is holding ceremony within this new paradigm, is that you need to hold and welcome yourself. It may sound simple, but detaching from the matrix, decolonizing your sense of self from what you’ve been taught to be is some of the deepest work we can do as human beings. That is something you can begin doing today, in this very moment. And it is also an essential part of the work that we do in this ceremonial school. You might expect that we spend time learning about how to decorate a space, or exactly what to say, but the majority of what we focus on is how to be integrated within yourself, how to respect and protect yourself, and then how to respect and protect the medicina.
We’re going to work on you, because it’s not about you.
We’re going to learn how to have safe practices, strong boundaries, respect and honor of self, space, and medicine.
And your relationship with cacao will deepen from that of a commodity, to one of true friendship, teacher, healer and friend if you let her medicine change you.

In this Cultural Exchange, learn how to sit in Indigenous circles. Over 18 lessons, "Workbook", 7 Bonus Lessons.
OPEN YOUR HEART WITH CACAO & HEARTBEAT OF HAWAIIAN CACAO THINKIFIC

CEREMONY TRAINING & CACAO DIETA
This is not so much the doing of ceremony (rose petal madalas) but the being of what it takes to be a ceremonial leader. By stepping into this role you will first be asked to step deeper into yourself with radical compassionate honesty. We will work not just on the"outer circle" of ceremony but the inner personal one as well. Deep shadow work is part of this experience.
You will also be taught SAFE practices and learn how to build alliances to continue holding a space with integrity.
CACAO DIETA
Access to our new 100 days of cacao cups ceremonies will help you start this dieta as you sit with meditations with cacao and 14 of our facilitators. via THINKIFIC. This is a self lead part of the journey.

SHADOW ALCHEMY & INTEGRATION
Session will be led by Rose of Live bi Design. Focus will be on integrating aspects of your denied self, and an intro on how to bring this process into the concrete work of offerings, branding, and business.
START YOUR MEDICINE CARRIER PATH FOR 3 BREATHS
We're a bit old school so we don't do "certifications", we use other words that give witness to your relationship with knowledge. You will complete the first two levels (of 5) of being able to offer this medicina and carry on in cacao ceremony and other circles.
IN CLASS CEREMONIES
We will schedule multiple ceremonies within the group where you get to participate and be called on to lead at times as you practice leading ceremony.
MENTEE CACAO CIRCLES
You will assist/attend mentor cacao circles (LIVE OR ONLINE) for a min of 3 ceremonies as part of your testing and go from being mentee to running your own cuatro manos y cinco volcanes farms llc cacao circle.
You will be expected to conduct an additional minimum of 8 more ceremonies in 2023 with cuatro manos y cinco volcanes farms llc - cacao.

How to begin your journey with cacao
Set up a time to interview with one with one of the mentors of the circle Mish or Ash. These are my trusted students and have been with me for a long time. They are on a deep medicine path and I trust them implicitly. We are also in daily communication together.
Why will they interview you first?
I come from a tradition where this is the way it is done. You find someone within the circle to speak for you, present you, stand for you. Then you are presented to the teacher.
Yes it’s a few more steps than an easy click and sign up but I try to honor my ancestors and how this way has for myself and others provided the necessary small steps to walk deeper with the medicine.
